Mario San Bartolomé, Jr., MD

Mario San Bartolomé, M.D., Q.M.E., is dual-board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and by the American Board of Family Medicine currently serving as the Medical Director of the Addiction Medicine Program at the MemorialCare Center for Mental Health & Wellness at Community Hospital Long Beach.

Prior to completing his Medical Degree at the University of California Irvine and Family Medicine Residency Program at Long Beach Memorial, Dr. San Bartolomé, completed a Masters in Business Administration.  Dr. San Bartolomé is also a certified Medical Review Officer by the American Association of Medical Review Officers which adds to his profile of expertise and experience in objective medical assessment.

At Community Hospital Long Beach, Dr. San Bartolomé oversees medical detoxification as part of a more comprehensive Addiction Medicine Program for those willing and ready to seek help for either alcohol or drug addiction.

Dr. San Bartolomé is committed to the treatment of addiction and public education about substance-use disorders. Dr. San Bartolomé has a private outpatient medical practice, Arete Health, serving patient and clients in need of addiction medicine and various occupational medicine programs.
