Selene Diaz, M.D. is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a distinguished career in both clinical practice and leadership roles within the Department of State Hospitals in California. She is currently serving as a Senior Psychiatrist Supervisor at the Department of State Hospitals-Coalinga, where her leadership and dedication earned her the Supervisor of the Month Award in November 2022.

Dr. Diaz’s educational journey began with her Associate of Science degree in Biological and Physical Science and Pre-Medical Studies from the College of the Canyons, Santa Clarita, California. She then earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico, before completing the Fifth Pathway Program at New York Medical College.

Her postgraduate training included a Psychiatry Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles-Kern (UCLA-Kern), where she was appointed Chief Resident, reflecting her outstanding clinical and leadership skills.

In addition to her hands-on clinical experience, Dr. Diaz has pursued advanced education in psychopharmacology, earning certifications from the Neuroscience Education Institute and Harvard Medical School. Her ongoing commitment to professional development ensures that she remains at the forefront of psychiatric treatment and care.
