Medical Testimony Made Simple
Navigating workers’ compensation cases requires accurate and timely medical evaluations from credible experts.
That’s what we offer: a growing network of Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) physicians who deliver medical evaluations that attorneys, HR administrators, and patients need to reach swift and equitable claims resolutions.
Workers’ Compensation Evaluation Challenges: Consider Them Solved
As a physician-owned company with over a decade of experience in the medical-legal sector, we not only understand your challenges—we eliminate them. Here’s what sets our medical evaluators apart:
Timely Reports
Late reports can completely derail cases. To ensure timeliness, we work closely with physicians and their teams to establish clear deadlines. Our goal is not just to meet deadlines but to exceed them whenever possible.
Legal Compliance
Our reports meet the standards of substantial medical evidence. To ensure consistency, we provide physicians with templates aligned with Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) requirements, covering key areas like:
Causation
Apportionment
Permanent and stationary status
Impairment ratings
Requested case law opinions, as noted in the accompanying attorney letters
Regulatory Monitoring
We continuously monitor updates to DWC and Labor Code regulations to ensure our physicians stay current and credible.
Ongoing Training & Support
To ensure our physicians stay sharp, we offer a comprehensive report-writing course, deposition training, and ongoing mentorship. The result? Defensible reports and testimony that hold up in court and under cross-examination.
Comprehensive Evaluations
Incomplete histories can jeopardize the evaluation process. We proactively address this by sending thorough medical history questionnaires to applicants prior to evaluations, giving doctors a strong foundation that can be cross-referenced during the exam.
Our Approach: Simple. Streamlined. Effective.
Wondering what to expect from initial contact to case conclusion? While the process varies with each case, here’s a general overview of what to expect:
Contact
The process begins when a physician is selected—either by mutual agreement as an Agreed Medical Evaluator (AME), through the state’s strike panel process, or by direct selection from a panel in unrepresented cases.
Prepare
We handle all pre-evaluation logistics: creating case folders, distributing DWC paperwork, sending questionnaires to applicants, and compiling medical records for review.
Evaluate
On evaluation day, we confirm appointments with applicants and interpreters, reserve appropriate office space, and provide in-office administrative support. This allows our physicians to focus solely on conducting thorough medical evaluations.
Report
After the evaluation, physicians complete their assessment using our compliant report templates so no declarations or regulatory language are omitted. We then format the final document, handle distribution to all parties, and manage the billing process.
Why Our Medical Evaluators Stand Out
What sets our growing network of over 245 physicians apart?
Our medical evaluators are board-certified physicians actively practicing in their specialties, which means their medical expertise is always current.
We partner with QME-certified physicians who understand workers’ compensation requirements.
We invest in ongoing training and support, giving our medical evaluators the resources they need to succeed.
We want our medical evaluators to focus on their core competencies, not get bogged down in complex paperwork. That’s why our administrative team handles all the logistics.
