Dr. Marcel P. Fraix is a distinguished osteopathic physician, educator, and health policy leader. He serves as the Associate Dean for Admissions & Enrollment and Professor and Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), part of Western University of Health Sciences. Additionally, he is the Chief of the Section of Health Policy & Management in the Department of Population Health.

Dr. Fraix earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, where he served as Co-Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Downey Regional Medical Center. Furthering his expertise in healthcare leadership, Dr. Fraix obtained an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.

Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Fraix specializes in musculoskeletal and rehabilitation medicine, addressing conditions such as spinal disorders, pain management, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. He maintains clinical practice at institutions like Casa Colina Hospital and Eisenhower Health, focusing on patient care integrating osteopathic manual medicine.

An accomplished academic, Dr. Fraix has published extensively in esteemed journals, including the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine, and contributed chapters to Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also a sought-after lecturer, with a dedication to advancing medical education and clinical training.
