Duong L Le, M.D.

Dr. Duong L. Le, M.D., is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He currently serves as a staff cardiologist in Contra Costa County, where he provides comprehensive care for a range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias. Dr. Le is also board certified in adult echocardiography, cardiovascular nuclear medicine, and cardiac computed tomography (CT).

Dr. Le’s educational background includes a B.S. and M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Riverside, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, where he served as Chief Resident, and subsequently completed a cardiovascular fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Fresno Medical Education Program​​.

Dr. Le is an active leader in his field, serving as the Cardiovascular Disease Clerkship Director for Drexel Medical School and contributing to quality assurance committees focused on echocardiography and electrocardiography. He is committed to medical education, mentoring medical students and residents while fostering advancements in clinical practice​​.

Dr. Le’s work has earned him accolades, including Most Outstanding Resident at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Fellow of the Year at UCSF Fresno. His scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications on cardiotoxicity, atrial appendage occlusion techniques, and radiation-associated cardiac injury. As a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography, Dr. Le continues to advance the field of cardiology through research and clinical excellence​.
