Dwayne Wilson, MD

Dr. Dwayne Wilson is an occupational medicine physician with experience spanning occupational health clinics, medical surveillance programs, and primary care services for underserved communities. He is ABPM board certified (current) and holds Florida physician licensure (Physician No. ME 121189, 08/2014–present). He is also a Medical Review Officer (04/2016–present) and maintains DOT Certification (current), MRO Certification (current), and ACLS Certification (current).

Dr. Wilson currently practices as a Locum Occupational Medicine physician with Adventist Health in Lodi, California (April 2023–present). Prior to this, he worked at Yuma Proving Grounds Occupational Health in Yuma, Arizona (06/2022–10/2022), performing medical surveillance for police officers, firefighters, and military contractors. He previously practiced with Cano Health Occupational Medicine in Miami, Florida (08/2020–04/2022), providing DOT physicals, workers’ compensation care, spirometry, and hearing conservation services. He also provided primary care at Community Medical Group in Tampa, Florida (12/2019–08/2020), serving underserved communities. His locum roles include MEDICUS Primary Care/Occupational Medicine at Tri-Cities Community Health in Tri-Cities, Washington (12/2018–10/2019) and Lee Community Health System in Ft. Myers, Florida (08/2018–11/2018). Earlier, he worked with Barton Physician Services at Manatee County Rural Health System (08/2017–08/2018), performing clinic operational duties while providing patient care and leadership.

Dr. Wilson completed an Occupational Medicine Residency at the University of South Florida (07/2015–06/2017). He completed two years of Internal Medicine residency training at Meharry Medical College/Nashville General Hospital at Meharry (07/2010–06/2012), gaining comprehensive inpatient and outpatient clinical experience. He earned an MSPH from the University of South Florida (07/2015–06/2017) and an MD from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine (07/2002–05/2007), after completing graduate/postgraduate research in chemistry (01/1999–06/2002) and a BS in Chemistry (08/1994–12/1998) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
