Kevin Kwak, M.D.

Dr. Kevin Kwak is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine with a subspecialty in Clinical Informatics. He holds active licensure with the Medical Board of California and is DEA certified. He currently serves as Vice President of Clinical Architecture at Point and Click Solutions, a leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) provider for college health systems, where he oversees strategic planning, the design of intuitive user interfaces, and ensures ONC-ATCB and CCHIT certification compliance. His work supports major academic clients including Harvard University, Stanford University, University of California campuses, and University of Southern California.

Since 2023, Dr. Kwak has served as a physician at the Ashe Student Health Center at UCLA. He has a long-standing academic role as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, beginning in 2009. Over his career, he has served as physician at multiple student health centers, including Klotz Student Health Center (2011–2023) at California State University campuses, University Park Student Health Center (2006–2011) at USC, and in locum tenens positions at Cedars-Sinai Medical Group, Veterans Affairs facilities, Thornton Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers. He also served as Medical Director of the North County Division at Mobile Physician Services (2000–2002).

Dr. Kwak completed his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (1993–1997) following a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Johns Hopkins University (1989–1993). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Scripps Mercy Medical Center in San Diego (1997–2000).

In addition to his clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Kwak has provided independent consulting on user interface and user experience design for DEARhealth, a UCLA-affiliated AI-powered care pathway platform, and for the Motion Picture & Television Fund clinics during new EHR selection processes. He is fully trained on Epic, VistA, Meditech, and PyraMED EHRs and has experience with multiple other major systems including Greenway, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Allscripts, and GE Centricity.

Dr. Kwak has contributed to peer-reviewed literature, including his co-authored work in Chest Journal on the safety implications of right atrial mass embolization during transesophageal echocardiography. His career uniquely combines clinical practice, medical education, and innovative health informatics, supporting improved patient care and system-wide healthcare solutions.
