Dr. Maryann Reuter is a licensed clinical psychologist with licensure in California (PSY 24360), North Carolina (6589), and Tennessee (4050). Her work spans psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and instruction. She has experience administering and interpreting psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments for children, adolescents, and adults while also providing psychotherapy across the lifespan in outpatient and community mental health care.
Dr. Reuter earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles (APA accredited; 2005–2010). She previously completed an MA in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University (2005) and a BA in Psychology at Georgian Court University (2003). She is currently enrolled in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Master of Science program in Clinical Psychopharmacology (2025–2027, anticipated).
Since 2021, Dr. Reuter has worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with ABS Kids in Ventura, California, providing Complex Psychological Testing (ages 5–17) and developmental evaluations for children under age 5. Her testing battery includes WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, WAIS-IV, ADOS-2, CARS-2, and Tele-ASD-Peds. She oversees diagnostic evaluation processes focused on neurodevelopmental disorders, consults with clinicians on treatment planning, provides staff consultation, participates in case study meetings, and supports business development for a new location. In parallel, she has maintained a private practice in Westlake Village, California since 2013, providing individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults, family therapy, and psychological testing and evaluations, while managing contracts with multiple insurance panels. In her private practice she has also conducted psychological evaluations on adults, including Fitness for Duty evaluations, psychological test batteries to measure cognitive abilities, memory, and emotional stability, and most recently passed her QME (Qualified Medical Evaluator) exam.
From 2012 to 2015, Dr. Reuter served as Senior Psychologist with Ventura County Behavioral Health, maintaining medical staff privileges through Ventura County Medical Center and providing assessment, consultation, psychotherapy, and psychological testing. She completed crisis assessment and intervention training and was certified to write 5150 and 5585 holds. Earlier, she worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with the Violence Intervention Program (2010–2012), providing TF-CBT, EMDR, CPP, crisis intervention, and forensic clinic assessment at LAC+USC Medical Center.
Dr. Reuter also teaches in graduate programs, serving as Adjunct Faculty at Pepperdine University since September 2021 and previously at California Lutheran University (2019–2022) and Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles.
