Dr. Alison Lee is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California (PSY 16130) with over 25 years of experience in clinical psychology, health psychology, and neuropsychology. Based in Agoura Hills, California, Dr. Lee has extensive expertise in neurocognitive assessment, psychiatric evaluation of adult and geriatric populations, chronic pain, and the cognitive and functional impact of psychological and neurological disorders.
Dr. Lee completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles (1994), where she also earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a Health Psychology emphasis (1989). She holds a B.S. in Education from The Ohio State University (1974) and completed additional clinical training at the AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy affiliated with Northwestern University hospitals. She further advanced her specialization through a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center (1995–1997), conducting comprehensive adult neuropsychological evaluations and collaborating with Neurology, Psychiatry, General Medicine, HIV Services, and Crisis Resolution teams.
Since 2011, Dr. Lee has maintained a private practice, AJL Psychological Services, in Agoura Hills, providing evaluation and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and life transitions. Her work includes psychotherapy focused on coping and adaptation to newly diagnosed and chronic medical illnesses, as well as education and support for individuals and families managing traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders.
Previously, Dr. Lee served as a Neuropsychological Evaluator at Ventura County Medical Center (2008–2011), a Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Epilepsy and Brain Mapping Program at Huntington Memorial Hospital (1997–2007), and Assistant Clinical Professor and Neuropsychologist at Loyola University Medical Center (2000–2002). She also held clinical roles at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and P.A.C.E., Inc., focusing on rehabilitation psychology and chronic pain management.
Dr. Lee completed her APA-accredited internship at the VA Medical Center in West Los Angeles (1992–1993). She has authored peer-reviewed publications in the Journal of the International Neuropsychological Society and The Clinical Psychologist and has contributed to academic teaching and professional service throughout her career.
