Danny Lascano, MD, QME

Dr. Danny Lascano is a board-certified general surgeon practicing in California’s Central Valley. His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of general surgery, including hernias (inguinal, ventral, incisional), gallbladder and biliary disease, necrotizing soft tissue infections, and bowel perforation or other intra-abdominal pathology requiring emergency abdominal surgery.

Dr. Lascano earned a B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College and an M.D. from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his general surgery residency at Westchester Medical Center / New York Medical College, a Level I trauma center, where he served as Clinical Instructor of Surgery in his final year. During residency, he completed a two-year research fellowship in pediatric surgical oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He then finished his clinical training with a Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship at Saint John’s Cancer Institute in Santa Monica.

He has authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts in journals including Scientific ReportsJAMA Surgery, and Annals of Surgery Open. He serves as a peer reviewer for the British Journal of Surgery and the Journal of Investigative Surgery. His research has been supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Lascano maintains an active surgical practice, including emergency call coverage, at community hospitals throughout California’s Central Valley. He is board-certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and holds an active California medical license. He is fluent in English and Spanish with native proficiency, which he uses directly in patient care.
