Dr. Glenn S. Roeder is a board-licensed periodontist with extensive experience in private practice, education, and clinical leadership. He maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and has served as an adjunct professor of periodontology at both the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. In these academic roles, Dr. Roeder has educated and mentored dental students and residents in advanced periodontal techniques and clinical care, contributing significantly to the development of future dental professionals.
Dr. Roeder earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1982, followed by a Certificate in Periodontology from USC in 1984. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from the University of California, Berkeley (1977). He is certified in LANAP protocol (November 2006) and is licensed to practice dentistry in both Texas and California.
In addition to his private and academic work, Dr. Roeder has served in leadership roles within the periodontics community, including as Director of the Periodontal Department at the Green-LaBaron HIV Dental Clinic and the Fourth Contingency Hospital of the United States Air Force. He has also served on the Texas State Dental Board as a dental review panel member and frequently provides expert witness testimony in both plaintiff and defendant cases. Dr. Roeder completed military service as a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserve Dental Corps and received an honorable discharge.
Dr. Roeder’s professional contributions have been recognized through numerous awards and commendations, including multiple Outstanding Faculty Member recognitions from USC School of Dentistry and Tau Chapter Alpha Omega, as well as the AIDS Project Los Angeles “You Are the Heart of APLA” award. He has delivered specialized lecture series on periodontics and dentistry to medical and dental staff at David Grant Hospital, Travis Air Force Base, earning a formal commendation for his efforts.
An active member of professional organizations, Dr. Roeder is affiliated with the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Texas Dental Association, Dallas Dental Society, California Dental Association, and Western Dental Society. His clinical philosophy integrates evidence-based periodontal care with patient-centered treatment, education, and community service, emphasizing oral health as a cornerstone of overall well-being.
