Hammam Ghiyas Kemeh, M.D.

Dr. Hammam Ghiyas Kemeh is a board-certified internist with active medical licenses in California (C184638) and Florida (ME112530), and ECFMG certification. He is the founder and president of Kemeh Medical LLC, a private hospitalist company based in Orlando, Florida, where he has practiced since 2018. Dr. Kemeh also holds an academic appointment as Associate Clinical Professor at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine, appointed by the Board of Trustees in December 2012.

Dr. Kemeh earned his M.B.B.S. from Gulf Medical College in Ajman, United Arab Emirates (2006) and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital, New York (2009–2012). Early in his career, he completed a one-year internship at Al-Qassimi Hospital, Dubai (2005–2006), gaining experience across inpatient wards, outpatient departments, and surgical services.

He began his U.S. clinical practice as a hospitalist with Mid Florida Hospital Specialist Company (2012–2014), providing inpatient care and consultations at Florida Hospital and Central Florida Regional Hospital, while serving as a medical education preceptor and faculty at St. Matthew’s University. From 2014 to 2018, he served as a hospitalist at AdventHealth Hospital in Winter Park, Florida, further expanding his expertise in internal medicine and patient care. 

Dr. Kemeh’s research experience includes an observership at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (2009), where he studied anti-metastatic properties of arsenic trioxide in colorectal cancer, and a medical student research project on occupational health hazards among construction workers in Dubai (2002–2003). He has presented multiple posters and oral presentations at national conferences, including topics on cardiac disease, pancreatitis management, pulmonary edema, interstitial lung disease, and cancer metastasis.

His professional recognitions include election to the American College of Physicians (2009) and membership in the American Medical Association. Dr. Kemeh has also received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the White House for his contributions to cancer research and volunteer service. He is fluent in Spanish, Arabic, and Romanian, and maintains personal interests in basketball, football, painting, and dancing.
