Dr. Imaad Nasir is a board-certified neurologist specializing in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry, with clinical expertise in neurodegenerative disease, cognitive disorders, and socioemotional syndromes. He serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (February 2025–Present) and as a Staff Physician with the UCLA Faculty Group Practice in the Department of Neurology (2025–Present). He is also an Affiliate of the UCLA Brain Research Institute (2025–Present). Dr. Nasir is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Nasir completed fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (July 2022–July 2024). He completed his Neurology Residency at the University of Arizona, Tucson (July 2018–July 2022). He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine (July 2014–July 2018), completed Postbaccalaureate Premedical Studies at Pennsylvania State University (January 2011–July 2012), and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University (July 2006–July 2010).
In addition to his academic appointments, Dr. Nasir has independent attending-level experience as an Attending Neurologist at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyoming (2024) and Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, Pennsylvania (2024). His advanced clinical training includes EMG, EEG, and Neurophysiology in Clinical Practice at Mayo Clinic (February 2025) and a Neuro PET Preceptorship through UCLA Nuclear Medicine (February 2025).
Dr. Nasir’s research contributions include service as a Clinical Research Fellow and IRB Member at UCLA (2022–2024). He has participated in the UCLA Initiative to Study Hate, the FOXY Trial (Oxytocin in Frontotemporal Dementia), the ALLFTD (ARTFL–LEFFTDS) Consortium, and the LEADS (Longitudinal Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease Study). He has authored peer-reviewed publications in Neurology, the Journal of the International Neuropsychological Society, the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease Reports, and Clinical Case Reports, with additional work forthcoming in Bradley and Daroff’s Neurology in Clinical Practice (9th edition).
