Dr. Langenhan is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with several years’ experience in managing patient care in various settings—inpatient units, a psychiatric ER, community clinics, and private practice—providing medication management and therapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapy. She is an educator in subject areas that include cognitive therapy, exposure and response-prevention therapy, and the treatment of OCD and ADHD. She has served in medical directorship positions with a focus on administrative protocols and program development. She has almost a decade of experience in managed care settings. She is a published writer in online and print formats. Dr. Langenhan currently serves as a Medical Director with Carelon Behavioral Health, a designated business group under Elevance Health, while performing clinical work part-time through telepsychiatry. Areas of focus within the Medical Directorship include Quality Review/Process Improvement; Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for the treatment of Autism; and the Scientific Review Committee. Clinical interests include ADHD, OCD, treatment-resistant depression, and the role of plant-based nutrition and exercise in both physical and mental wellness. She is also currently enrolled in a fellowship program in Integrative Medicine through The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
