Marcia Isakari, M.D., M.P.H., FACOEM, Q.M.E.

Dr. Isakari is a board-certified physician in Occupational and Environmental Medicine with over 20 years of clinical and leadership experience. As a QME, she brings deep expertise in evaluating complex workers’ compensation cases, hazardous exposures, and return-to-work issues across a wide range of industries. 

She has served as a Medical Director for major institutions and has extensive experience overseeing multidisciplinary care, developing occupational health protocols, and managing medicolegal documentation and case resolution. Dr. Isakari is known for her meticulous, evidence-based evaluations and her ability to translate complex clinical findings into clear, defensible reports. 

Multilingual and culturally competent, Dr. Isakari speaks Portuguese (native), Spanish (advanced – clinical proficiency), and Japanese (basic conversational)—supporting clear communication across diverse patient populations. 

Dr. Isakari holds the prestigious Fellow designation from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), recognizing her leadership, educational contributions, and dedication to the specialty. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and helped shape national guidance on chemical/biological exposures, USP 800, respiratory protection, COVID-19, and digital health privacy. 

Her leadership has been recognized with the ACOEM Health Achievement Award and the JOEM Award for Outstanding Publication. She also served as Chair of the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) Employee Health Council and has trained numerous residents and early-career physicians in occupational medicine. 

Dr. Isakari now offers QME evaluations, bringing her clinical authority, clarity, and objectivity to the medicolegal process.
