Dr. Maria Persianinova is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over a decade of experience in acute inpatient care, complex case management, and medical documentation. Her clinical career includes a long-standing tenure at Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento, where she served as a full-time hospitalist and nocturnist from 2016 to 2024, and currently continues in a per diem capacity. Known for her leadership and collaborative approach, Dr. Persianinova played a key role as Emergency Department liaison and co-founded the Hospital Medicine Wellness Committee, which implemented physician wellness initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
In 2025, Dr. Persianinova expanded her professional focus to include medical-legal consulting after becoming a certified Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) through the California Division of Workers’ Compensation. In this role, she performs objective evaluations, impairment ratings, and causation analyses grounded in clinical precision and a deep understanding of diagnostic standards. Her work is distinguished by timely, clear, and compliant reporting.
Dr. Persianinova earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University in Missouri and completed her internal medicine residency at Trios Health in Washington. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis. Licensed in California and certified in BLS and ACLS, she maintains an active DEA registration and brings bilingual fluency in English and Russian to her practice.
Beyond her clinical and medicolegal roles, Dr. Persianinova is deeply engaged in integrative physician wellness. She develops creative platforms that blend science, intuition, and the arts to support high-achieving women dealing with burnout and creative disconnection.
