Dr. Myron J. Butts is a Doctor of Chiropractic and licensed acupuncturist based in Long Beach, California. His clinical work focuses on evaluation and conservative care for acute and chronic pain conditions, rehabilitation, and functional recovery, including support for pre- and post-surgical patients, traumatic injuries, extremity dysfunction, and sports-related injuries. His clinical experience also includes treating work-related injuries and providing rehabilitation services that incorporate neuromuscular re-education of the spine, balance and strength training, and physiotherapy-informed approaches.
Dr. Butts earned an A.A. in Liberal Arts with Honors from Mt. San Antonio College (1997) and a B.A. in Psychobiology from the University of California, Riverside (2001). He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Southern California University of Health Sciences (2005) and later completed a Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (2008). His honors include being named a Student of Distinction at Mt. San Antonio College, receiving Scholastic Achievement recognition at UC Riverside, and being listed in Who’s Who Among Students in America’s Universities & Colleges.
In addition to his healthcare training, Dr. Butts is a U.S. Army Desert Storm Veteran, having served with A Company, 37th Combat Airborne Engineers. His earlier professional roles included tutoring at the Mt. San Antonio College Learning Center (math, chemistry, anatomy), serving as a child care worker at Olive Crest Treatment Centers facilitating programs for at-risk youth, and teaching mathematics at Notre Dame High School in Riverside, California. He also held instructional and academic support roles at Southern California University of Health Sciences, including work as an anatomy laboratory technician, and participated in student leadership as an ASB representative, organizing events and inviting guest speakers.
Clinically, Dr. Butts trained through internships in chiropractic care (including diversified technique and neuromuscular re-education) and in acupuncture and Oriental medicine. His practice experience includes roles at Chiropractic Network and Spine Rehabilitation Center (2007–2010) and Victory Garden Chiropractic & Acupuncture (2008–2014). Since 2014, he has practiced at Dunn Family Chiropractic, providing care for acute and chronic pain conditions, rehabilitation, and DOT/CDL physicals, and he is credentialed with various insurances.
