Nataliya Belfor, Ph.D. Q.M.E.

Dr. Nataliya Belfor is a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience treating mood disorders, cognitive disorders, and trauma in adults. She operates a private practice in San Francisco, offering both telehealth and in-person psychotherapy for a broad spectrum of mental health concerns. In addition to therapy, Dr. Belfor conducts neurocognitive assessments and provides cognitive remediation for adults and elderly individuals experiencing cognitive decline or recovering from traumatic brain injuries.

Dr. Belfor earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, California. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Memory and Aging Center. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis.

Her clinical training is extensive and includes expertise in several evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Systematic Desensitization. Dr. Belfor also incorporates Narrative and Somatic approaches into her therapeutic practice.

At the core of Dr. Belfor’s clinical philosophy is the belief that a strong, collaborative relationship between clinician and patient is key to successful therapy. She contributes openness, curiosity, and a robust set of evidence-based tools, while the patient brings their unique goals, life experiences, and self-knowledge.

Dr. Belfor’s previous experience includes roles in Clinical Research, where she conducted clinical studies for leading assessment and cognitive intervention companies, including Posit Science and Miro. She has also been a Qualified Medical Evaluator in Psychology for nearly a decade.
