Dr. Sarah A. Rashid is a board-certified internal medicine physician and hospitalist with extensive experience in acute and chronic patient care. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, in 2015, following a Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences at Midwestern University (2010–2011) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis (2005–2009). She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at West Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, California, from 2015 to 2018.

Dr. Rashid has practiced as a hospitalist since 2018, providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a variety of inpatient settings. She currently serves at Doctors Hospital of Manteca in California, where she manages an average of 15 patients per shift, overseeing acute care, chronic disease management, and discharge planning. Previously, she practiced as a nocturnist and hospitalist at Doctors Medical Center of Modesto (2018–2022), where she was responsible for admitting and managing 10–17 patients nightly, running codes, coordinating family meetings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of complex conditions, including sepsis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, diabetic ketoacidosis, and delirium tremens, as well as preventive medicine and patient education. She is skilled in the use of electronic medical records, including Epic and Practice Fusion, and has foundational experience in procedures such as ultrasound-guided thoracentesis, paracentesis, and intubation with ventilator management.

Dr. Rashid is committed to advancing medical knowledge and research. She worked as a research assistant at Midwestern University, investigating fibroblast growth factor (FGF) effects on keratinocyte motility in zebrafish epithelial wound healing. She is also multilingual, fluent in Farsi and English, with proficiency in Urdu and beginner-level Spanish, allowing her to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
