Taraneh “Tara” Rostami, Psy.D., QME

Dr. Tara Rostami is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in California and Arizona with over a decade of experience at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of trauma-, stress-, and sleep-related disorders. Her clinical work focuses on veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, law enforcement personnel, and others exposed to high levels of occupational stress.

She has specialized expertise in the evaluation and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sleep disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, adjustment disorders, and psychological injuries related to military service and critical incidents. Dr. Rostami conducts comprehensive psychological, diagnostic, risk, and functional assessments and provides evidence-based interventions aimed at improving psychological health, occupational functioning, and overall quality of life.

As a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, she brings a nuanced understanding of operational stress, deployment-related challenges, reintegration, moral injury, grief and loss, and cumulative trauma exposure.
