Thomas Chasse, M.D.

Dr. Thomas Chassé is an accomplished Otolaryngologist/ENT Surgeon with over 42
years of experience in both academic and community settings across urban and rural
America, as well as internationally. He specializes in diagnosing and treating ear pain,
ear drainage, hearing loss, nasal and sinus concerns, and throat issues such as voice
changes, swallowing problems, and neck masses.

Dr. Chassé has held numerous academic positions, including Assistant Professor in the
Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and
at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He also served as a Rural Proctor at
the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Chassé has been an Otolaryngology Consultant
for several telehealth and virtual care providers, including SITKA Medical Associates (in
the U.S.) and Docspert (International). He is an expert reviewer for the Maine Board of
Licensure in Medicine, Expert IQ, Expedient Medico-legal, MRIOA; and previously for
Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine. 

Dr. Chassé has extensive clinical experience, having served as an Attending Surgeon at
Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/MGH, UMASS Medical Center, Stratton/Albany
VA Medical Center, and multiple other healthcare facilities across the United States. He
has also been a Visiting Professor at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Malawi and a Senior
Consultant at Hawkes Bay ENT Clinic in New Zealand.

He received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and
completed his 6 year residency in Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA Medical Center. Dr.
Chasse is Board Certified for Life by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He holds
active medical licenses in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New
York, Pennsylvania, and California.
