Julia Baird, Psy.D.

Dr. Julia Baird, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of specialized experience in the treatment of eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and trauma. She currently serves as the Clinical Director at Clementine Orange County, a residential treatment center for adolescents of all genders under Monte Nido & Affiliates. In this role, she oversees the clinical direction of the center, ensuring comprehensive care for individuals struggling with severe eating disorders.

Dr. Baird earned her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology with a Family and Couples emphasis from Alliant International University, Los Angeles. She also holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University.

In addition to her role at Clementine Orange County, Dr. Baird maintains a private practice in Torrance, California, where she provides therapy for a broad range of mental health issues, including trauma, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. Her clinical approach is deeply rooted in the belief that mental health and wellness involve the healing of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

Dr. Baird has undergone extensive training in trauma-focused treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing. She is also trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and third-wave cognitive-behavioral therapies, which she integrates into her practice to treat anxiety disorders and OCD.

Her previous experience includes working as a Clinical Psychologist at Torrance Memorial Hospital’s Eating Disorder Medical Stabilization Unit, where she provided critical care to patients requiring acute stabilization. She also has a background in group therapy, having facilitated Relationship Skills Groups at Clearview Treatment Centers.

Dr. Baird is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA), the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), and the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA). Her commitment to professional development and her passion for helping others continues to drive her work in the field of psychology.
