Aleksandra Drecun, PSY.D.

Dr. Aleksandra Drecun, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience providing psychological care, forensic evaluations, and academic instruction across diverse populations. She is the founder and CEO of the Association for Compassionate Transformation, Inc., where she provides a full range of psychological services including clinical assessment, treatment, and forensic evaluations. Her clinical expertise spans trauma, anxiety and depressive disorders, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ issues, and fitness-for-duty evaluations, with specialized services for high-performing professionals and elite athletes.

Dr. Drecun is frequently retained as a physician advisor and consulting psychologist for agencies such as the National Football League Players Association, Deloitte, R3 Continuum, and multiple independent medical review organizations. She conducts Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), forensic competency assessments, risk evaluations, and disability determinations for both public and private entities.

In parallel with her clinical work, Dr. Drecun has served as associate faculty at several Southern California colleges including MiraCosta College, Palomar College, and California Baptist University. She has developed and taught a wide range of psychology courses and is an invited speaker on topics such as trauma, child development, emotional regulation, and clinician wellness. Her research and publications focus on family systems, relational dynamics, and psychological resilience.

Dr. Drecun earned her Psy.D. and M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside. She is a member of multiple professional organizations including the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, and the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists. Dr. Drecun is fluent in English and Serbo-Croatian and is widely recognized for her culturally competent, trauma-informed approach to mental health care.
