Dr. Catherine Karno is a board-certified physician through the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board eligible through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine. Her work spans acute inpatient care, care coordination, utilization management, and telemedicine. She currently serves as a Hospitalist, Internal Medicine at Dignity Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada (09/08/2025–present), providing acute care for hospitalized patients across MED-SURG, telemetry, neuro, step-down, and ICU settings and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams and consultants.
Previously, Dr. Karno practiced as a Hospitalist, Internal Medicine at Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, Arizona (12/2023–03/2024). From 08/2016 to 01/2024, she served as a Hospitalist, Internal Medicine at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, supporting admissions and daily rounds and responding to codes and rapid responses. She also worked as a Hospitalist, Internal Medicine at St Vincent Ascension in Evansville, Indiana (01/2022–06/2023), serving as an attending physician on a teaching service for medical students, interns, and residents during internal medicine rotation, with ICU and cardiac ICU responsibilities.
In addition, Dr. Karno served as Medical Director for Infusion Care in Las Vegas/Reno, Nevada (01/2024–05/2025), providing in-person and remote oversight and medical guidance for clinical procedures while supporting medical quality and regulatory compliance. She also provided asynchronous telemedicine with Hims&Hers (07/2024–02/2025), consulting and following up on care related to aging and skin care, sexual dysfunction, and obesity.
Dr. Karno has been a Physician Consultant with Carisk Health Partners (08/2021–present), developing care coordination plans for work-related injuries using evidence-based practice in compliance with ODG guidelines and participating in peer-to-peer discussions. She also worked in Utilization Management/Clinical Review with Magellan Health in Maryland Heights, Missouri (10/2019–06/2022).
Dr. Karno earned her Doctor of Medicine – High Honors from Ross University School of Medicine (05/2007–12/2010) and her Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Riverside (08/1997–12/2003). She completed Internship & Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona (07/2011–06/2015) and a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at UCLA in California (07/2014–06/2015). She holds an active Interstate – COMPACT license and active licenses in Nevada, California, Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Arizona.
