Dr. Robert M. Masoner is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive clinical and leadership experience in both military and civilian healthcare settings. Currently, he serves as a Staff Psychiatrist at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, where he specializes in evaluating and managing the mental health needs of sailors and marines. His responsibilities include assessing individuals for limited duty and early retirement due to disabling mental health conditions, as well as supervising fourth-year psychiatry residents and maintaining operational schedules for emergency and special care.

Dr. Masoner is the President of Calm Horizons Psychiatry PC, where he provides comprehensive outpatient mental healthcare services in Southern California, leveraging telemedicine platforms. His practice focuses on personalized care for a wide range of mental health conditions, including medication management and therapeutic interventions. Additionally, he collaborates with Veterans Evaluation Services to conduct psychiatric evaluations for veterans, aiding in disability determinations.

Dr. Masoner completed his psychiatry residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, where he developed and implemented treatment plans for diverse psychiatric conditions. His training included extensive experience managing both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services and supervising junior residents in various clinical settings.

His previous roles include serving as an Instructor and Division Officer at the Naval Undersea Medical Institute and as an Undersea Medical Officer for Special Boat Team 12, where he provided critical training and medical support to Naval Special Warfare personnel. Dr. Masoner has also contributed to curriculum development for specialized training programs, ensuring high standards of clinical competence and safety.

Dr. Masoner earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and his Bachelor of Life Science degree summa cum laude from Arizona State University. He holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where he has mentored medical students and contributed to clinical education.
